PlayFootball Registration Help

Every player who participates in games is required to be registered with Football Victoria via the Play football platform.

The registration and fees are between you, and Football Victoria. These are not requirements of costs set by Casey Comets, and they are essential to ensure players are eligible for games in our league, and are covered by appropriate insurance.

Under league rules, Casey Comets will not allow any player to participate in a game who is not appropriately registered and accepted through PlayFootball.

How to Register

1) Head to playfootball.com.au/register

2) Choose to Re-Register if the player has ever been registered with PlayFootball before OR select New to Football:

If you selected "New to Football" - Choose the options that fits the team you are registering the player in:

Our U8-U11 Teams are MiniRoos Club Football

Our U12-U14 Teams are Youth Football

Our Mens Reserves and Seniors are Adult Football

Our Over 35,45,&55 Teams are Masters Football

Once you have selected the age group, follow the prompts to find Casey Comets by searching for Cranbourne, and selecting "Find out More" on our clubs listing.

You will now be on the Casey Comets FC listing, you can select "Register Now"

You will now have the opportunity from the Sign in page to create an account. If you have a Google account already, we recommend signing in with Google, otherwise choose Don't Have an Account Yet, and follow the prompts to create a login. Make sure you create the account for yourself. You will have the opportunity to list your child as the player if the eventual registration is for them.

Once logged in, you will be taken to this product screen, where you select the Age Group that matches the team you are registering for. If you have multiple registrations to process for family members across multiple age groups, you will need to repeat this process several times.

The next Screen allows you to scroll down and select "Register". The price shown will depend on the age grouping selected.

Next you will be asked if you are registering for yourself or someone else. If you are registering your child, please select "Someone else" and follow the prompts.

Re-Register Steps

Once you selected "Re registering to play this season" you are prompted to find your club.

Enter "Casey" in the search field, and select our club: Casey Comets FC

This will take you to the login screen. Login to your existing account to proceed. You can follow the prompts if you forgot your password.

The next Screen allows you to scroll down and select "Register". The price shown will depend on the age grouping selected.

Next you will be asked if you are registering for yourself or someone else. If you are registering your child, please select "Someone else" and follow the prompts.

PlayFootball Troubles Section

In 2025 many members are reporting difficulty in processing their PlayFootball registration.

The platform is operated by Football Australia/Victoria, and we are unable to login and proceed on your behalf.

Here are some common issues that can assist, and how to reach out to PlayFootball directly if you still require assistance:

Using a Smartphone: Many users have difficulty on their phone, but no trouble on their computer. We recommend using a computer where possible.

Not clicking on all 3 terms and conditions files: If you do not open each of the terms and conditions files, you will not be able to proceed beyond that screen. Whilst T&Cs are dull, these are an important part of our club and the league.

Not entering all fields: Common ones are additional emergency contacts being missed

Photo upload issues: Check that the photo you are uploading is not a "live" photo on your iPhone.
