Steve Aivaliotis – FA A Licence Coach

Elite youth development specialist, bringing a wealth of experience and technical knowledge to help young players excel through structured, fun training.

Kevin Taylor – A Licence Coach
Respected throughout the football community, Kevin delivers high-quality sessions that balance discipline with enjoyment and creativity.

Tommy Hawkins – Senior Coach
Recently retired senior player and Assistant Coach at Casey Comets, Tommy brings energy, leadership and strong connections with our club’s junior and senior programs.

Nathan Bubnjar – Senior Coach
Most recently Head Coach at Frankston Pines, Nathan adds a competitive edge and experience in developing young talent across grassroots and NPL levels.

Welcome & Warm-Up Games (Tag Games, Movement Skills)

Agility, coordination, and confidence building in a fun environment.


Ball Mastery Stations (1v1 Ball Control, Dribbling Through Cones, Toe Taps & Pull Backs)

Ball familiarity, close control, both feet usage.


Skill Zone Rotations

Players rotate through 3 tailored drills:

Station 1 – Running with the Ball (Obstacle Courses)

Encourage players to move quickly and confidently with the ball.

Station 2 – Striking the Ball (Shooting into mini goals, Passing to targets)

Basic passing, shooting accuracy and technique.

Station 3 – First Touch (Receiving from throw or pass, control & play)

Controlling the ball to set up next action.


Lunch

Supervised break, water and rest.


Small-Sided Games (SSGs) – 2v2 / 3v3

Game-based learning: spatial awareness, teamwork, applying skills in context.


Mini World Cup Tournament

Kids represent different countries in fun, friendly games – great energy to finish!


Cool Down & Player of the Day Awards

Gentle stretching, reflection, and individual recognition.

Program Philosophy: Skill Acquisition Through Play

The program is designed in line with Football Australia’s Skill Acquisition Phase (ages 9–12) and Discovery Phase (ages 4–8), ensuring children:

  • Have fun while learning essential football skills
  • Develop coordination, balance, and teamwork
  • Build positive experiences that encourage long-term participation
