Session Times

The coaching team will place players into groups in the week prior to the Academy starting. This will be based on the number of players and age groups. You will also be asked to include your child's previous playing experience so that the Coach can place your child in the most appropriate training group. You will be advised by email of your child's session time.

Jamie Paterson - Casey Comets Academy Coach (Casey Comets Youth Development Coach)

Jamie is an ex professional footballer with 20 years of playing professional football in the UK. Jamie has played for British league clubs Falkirk, Scunthorpe, Halifax Town, Doncaster Rovers & Kettering Town (coached by Paul Gascoigne). Jamie made his professional debut vs Manchester United at age 17 years.
Jamie has also represented England at Futsal.
Jamie coached many young players in the UK during his professional playing career.
After moving to Melbourne, Jamie continued with coaching and was a Head Coach with the world famous Coerver Program in SE Melbourne. Jamie has also un his own Paterson coaching programs and has coached over 1000 young players.

Del Donnelly - Casey Comets Academy Coach (Casey Comets Technical Director)

Del recently joined Casey Comets as the Club's Technical Director responsible for our Junior programs. Del is an FFA B-Licensed accredited coach having coached at several Victorian Clubs. Del was also the President of St Kilda Saints.
Del has recently been accepted on the next FFA A-License coaching course

Terms & Conditions

Payment of registration fees must be completed at the time of registration. 

Kits are provided by the Casey Comets Academy and must be worn at all sessions.

Fees are non refundable except with prior written agreement with Casey Comets Academy program. In the event that the player or parent/guardian changes their mind refunds are not given.

Fees are to be paid in full and online when registering to the program. Alternatively fees can be paid by Bank Transfer, EFTPOS or Credit Card at the Club prior to the program starting. The coaches will not be able to accept cash payments or card payments on the day of the program as they will be coaching!

Failure to attend training does not signify or imply notification to cancel the registration or to receive a refund of fees.

Kits will only be given on completion of fees.

The Casey Comets Academy program reserves the right to use photos/videos/artwork for promotion of the program on the Club's website and social media. Please ensure you have 'ticked' the permission box at the time of registration should you wish to opt out.

Football boots & shin pads are compulsory. These are to be purchased by the player/parent/guardian.

Players, Parents/Guardians are responsible for their behaviour. Any abuse (physical/verbal/intimated) against others will be 
treated with ZERO tolerance. Please see Codes of Behaviour policies under Information on this website.

A Parent/Guardian must remain at the facilities for players under the age of 12 during the training session.

Parent/Guardians are not permitted to enter the field of play/training during the session(s).

Coaching staff are unable to hold discussions with parents/guardians before, during or after training sessions as this will impact on the next sessions. Contact details will be provided should anything arise during the sessions and a discussion time will be arranged.

The facilities are closed following completion of the Academy programs. Please do not leave your child waiting in the car park.

A parent/guardian must disclose any medical condition and appropriate information that the player has on the registration form.

In the event of an injury requiring urgent medical attention and a parent/guardian is not available, the coaching staff will call an ambulance. Any costs resulting from that call will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. 

Please disclose private medical or ambulance cover when registering.

All players must bring a water bottle.

Players must wear sunscreen - please check the SunSmart policy under Information on this website.

Please check the Weather policy in the event of extreme or adverse weather conditions - under Information on this website.
